Regarding New Update

I am using samsung galaxy note 9. I got to know that the One UI 3.0 with Android 11 is not for the note 9.

Is it right? 

Because this note 9 was released on August 2018. Ita about 3 years older only. Samsung should give the update for note 9. After every 2 or 3 years why I should change the phone for using new features. 

My wife have oneplus 6t and the release date was same October 2018. Yesterday she got new update with the Android 11. And this mobile is cheaper then note 9. 

I think samsung mobile think about this.

Bro according to Samsung's new update policy all devices launched in and after 2019 not 2018 will get 2 major os and 3 years security patch updates..
And for flagship and some Aseries phones it is 3 os upgrade and 4 years security patch ..

Also oneplus has no limitation to give update to its older devices because they have only few phones to give os upgrade..
This year only they started launching phones in midrange ...
Before that only 4 or 5 phones of oneplus was launched every year ..
Also this year only oneplus launched a phone with mediatek nord2
Before that all were snapdragon and it is easy for them to update..
So they have no limitation to give...

On the other hand samsung is a brand which is launching phones from budget to flagship from years ..
So it is difficult for them to give os upgrade to all their phones all years and also optimize it because most of the phones have different processors.
So samsung have limitations..

But hope they will improve in future ..
But it doesn't matter to older phones..

Y do u want to upgrade just getting new features when ur phone is perfectly working ..

Thanks for your response 👍 with valuable information.
Now i am thinking i will go with oneplus or iPhone for my next device 🤔. Because i will not able to expand 1L for only 2 or 3 years.
What your suggestions?

Bro iPhone is good but I think there are many complications the ios for a android user to use and if anything went repaired u have to pay a lot after the warranty period us finished ...

If u need to upgrade just wait fro s21fe 5g which will be around 50k and u will get 3 major os..

Bro oneplus updated their update policy just like what samsung did 3 major os for their flagship so only oneplus 6 got android 11 now
But samsung put a deadline 2019 so ur note 9 didn't get
Hope u got the difference ..

Now both samsung and oneplus devices will get 3 major os ..
So don't worry to stay on samsung if ur experience with samsung is good..
If not good then consider other brands ..
If ur planning for oneplus currently I personally don't like oneplus's this year's flagship 9 series only 9r is good ..
If u want oneplus wait for next year 10 series
Incase of Apple Don buy 12 series or upcoming 13 series I will suggest u to wait for iPhone 14 series which may have punch hole display as per leaks .so iam suggesting

For samsunv Just wait for s21fe 5g which will be released on 2 or 3 months orelse s22ultra which will release on next year starting ..


Out of all these s21 fe and s22 ultra is the nearest phone to launch ..
And if u buy a new samsung phone even A52 will get 3 major os and 4 yrs security patch as all other flagship get ..

Iphones now get 6 years of OS upgrades, twice as much as what we get on average android devices. I guess 4 years wont be enough too.

And also privacy..

I didn't mention about iPhone update period because I was not sure how much they get I thought it was 5 but it is 6 right

Also bro I heard that Google has announced 4 os upgrade and 5 yrs security patch from their upcoming pixel phones..

If not giving 11,no problems but atleast give monthly update, my last update is June.
