Hi,

is there any possibility to use the microphone of the bluetooth headset instead of the phone mic? This never worked with one of my bluetooth headsets, e.g. the Sony WF-1000XM4.

Thank you

I too use the same bluetooth headset and as far as I know, usage of bluetooth headsets for voice recording was blocked by Android a few years back for security reasons.
Here is an earlier thread on Samsung Members Community, from about 2 years ago, regarding the same: https://r2.community.samsung.com/t5/Wearables/BLUTOOH-EARPHONE-MIC-NOT-WORKING-FOR-WHATSAPP-VOICE-RE...

You could specifically switch to your bluetooth headset for calls, but it cannot be used for voice message recording.

However, one possibility is to use the included headphone cable, if your situation allows it... though it definitely defeats the purpose of a bluetooth headset.

So, I don't think that this is an issue specifically related to your phone or bluetooth headset.

Also Here are some general steps that may help you:

Open the notification shade and long press the Bluetooth icon.
Press the gear next to your headphone setting.
Both of the sliders for Calls and Audio should be on
