Samsung decreased battery life by pushing an OTA update to sell its new devices.

It looks like you're not alone in experiencing increased battery drain after the December security patch update on your S23 Ultra. Several users have reported similar issues on the Samsung Community and Samsung Members forums.

To tackle this problem, let's start with some basic troubleshooting steps. First, *check your battery usage patterns* to identify which apps are consuming the most power. You can do this by going to Settings > Device care > Battery > Battery usage.

Next, *disable any unnecessary features* that might be draining your battery, such as Bluetooth, GPS, or Wi-Fi when not in use. You can also try *enabling Power Saving Mode* to limit CPU performance, network usage, and background apps.

Additionally, *clear the cache and data* of apps that you suspect might be causing the issue. If none of these steps resolve the problem, you may want to consider *performing a factory reset* to restore your device to its original settings.

It's also worth noting that Samsung might release a patch to fix this issue, so keep an eye on any future software updates.
