Hi,  I'm from Oman.

I got issue of my 3 month old Note 20 Ultra, suddenly it went BLACK SCREEN. I was clicked volume key to silent incoming call yesterday & It's happen since then, The screen went totally black, was tried several times to restart , but only it vibrate and make little sound but no screen, screen doesn’t display anything.

Yesterday visited Samsung Service Center- SARCO/ GPT with initial check up the technician said the screen was having issue & need to open phone - need to change needy, The fixing will be take up-to 5 days. Can’t imagine for 3 months old phone have to face this & instead of getting replacement new unit they offered to repair/screen replacement only, with several excuses.  

This is shocking, for such a high end flagship has this major issue, by regular usage and less than 3 months.

 

Very disappointing, was IPhone user since 8 years & migrated to Samsung for note 20 Ultra spend almost $ 1350 and it gave me impression with huge disappointment/ frustration. 

there must be better option rather than repair for such high end flagship phone. 

 

Note: My phone has never dropped or submerged in water.

 

anybody else faced same issue ? And what’s outcome ?

Hi there,

It is in the Terms and Conditions that there is only 7 days replacement and after that a warranty repair only. 

If the isue continues, feel free to take the device to a Samsung Service Center to have a specailist assess and repair the device.

Hello Samsung Specialist....thanks for your advise ... but expected better handling in such frustrating issue from samsung which was very poor for this case .. ....rehighliting we are talking about 3 months old & top high flagship phone ..which is still fare enough for my claim & screen replacement/ repairing made me regret my decision to switch from IPhone to Samsung & in similar cases everybody will expect same..

Again, hats down to apple on that, they never repair, they just replace your device. seems like a culture thing between Americans and Koreans as it shows the same on Korean cars as well, they'll never replace the defected car but they are ready to fix it even if it cost double it's price

I have faced the same issue on 7th August and visited the service center at baniyas Square. Dint know what they did but they got the phone restarted. When asked they said reduce the data on the phone. If that were the case my Note 3 that I still have should also stop working but that still works fine with a full memory. These phones need to be a beast of a phone to enjoy multi tasking and have a lot of space. Also I had brought my phone from the Samsung web store with the pre order offer and was told it has samsung care plus but on my last visit I got to know that this is something u need to activate. I have raised a complaint for this with the useless contact center ad their useless managers but they don't seem to help I am escalating this to now Check on getting the samsung care. Will post back on samsung's reply. Friends if u have brought the samsung care in the initial offer please check with samsung if the offer was activated on the phone or not.

Seems samsung has good tech but VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
