Green line issue resolved : refrain from further updates?

Recently had the green line issued on my #note20ultra after May update and have resolved the issue through display replacement. Today it seems a new update is available to install, leaving me in a fit of worrry of the same issue propping up post update. 

What seems to be the community opinion regarding this?

I have seen some cases on youtube and such, from different countries with such experience, especially with devices having some pre-existing physical damage. Yours as well?

Do let me know your experience with updates since getting the s20 repaired? I'm still trying to figure out if a further update could possibly end up in the same situation.

Yea I updated 2 times nothing as such happens. Yes it is possibility that it can end up getting lining issue again after doing update.

Thank you for the response.
I was informed from the service center that since then replacement was done FOC outside the warranty period, it would not be covered by a warranty further. Is this true or would it have a 3 month warranty coverage as informed by yourself? Please confirm
