Hi,

I had given my Galaxy note 9 phone to one of the authorised Samsung Service centers as I was facing discoloration issue after update. The phone was 15month old and DID NOT have any dent or damage. It was in the same condition as of new phone which was acknowledged by the Service Centre representative.  The representative ran few test and informed that this issue is being faced by most of the Galaxy Note 9 users and since there is no physical damage to Phone, they will take it up with Samsung for replacement of Screen at free of cost.

But now the service center is asking to pay for screen replacement without proper justification / reason.

..that issue came from many many days before in note 9 series.... do you know the reason? 🤔 it's because there were total 23 vulnerability present in Android 2.0 and in Android 2.1 still now there are 13 vulnerability and 2 critical issue presents in samsung own software.. now if someone simply update software via mobile data or wifi then software loop hole over software destroyed the display...it's quite possible because samsung provides non A/B partition type ota software not like other company hence if someone simply update software via mobile data or wifi then anything mysterious can be happened even motherboard or display can immediately destroy forever which is not proc3ss.... it's actually and recommended method to install software especially in samsung devices is via smart switch and pc or from odin or through authorised samsung service center as they use odin only for their official purpose...for that reason only Google mandate A/B partition type ota software from Android 11

Tell them that this is widely reported issue and Free of Charge replacement is being done.
If they refuse then tell them that you will escalate issue to higher management.
Also tell them that you will file complaint in consumer forum.

check this post also.

It depends on you how much you can have patience and keep firing them.
If needed prepare to go to consumer forum/court.

Now Samsung is blatantly lying to customers. Sad state of affairs.
