How to connect hard disk on samsung note 9?

Which Hard disk, USB?. If USB you need a USB otg adapter cable. And file system on the hard drive should be FAT32

NTFS formated HDD will not work on samsung, if you have any Chinese Android mobile it should work. Some HDD will require OTG split cable with separate power line.

If you connect a mobile phone then use a OTG cable/Usb cable
Or you can use sata/pata cable on Computer.

You cant connect hhd to mobile. You can connect otg or ssd. For hdd, you require extra power (current)
