No 5G on Note 20 Ultra 5G SD version (Japanese imported)

I will be pretty straight forward. I purchased this phone 3 months ago. It's cool phone however I am having some issues with data connections.

Such as 5G won't run in my phone. Keep in mind I'm fromIndia and have imported it from Japan. 

I have tried everything, changing APN settings and using every 5G enabled Sims of every single operator (Jio, Airtel) still no use.

I really like the phone and would like to use it for 4 to 5 years. However it seems impossible. Why you ask? Because once 5G is widely available, 4G will be looked down upon and probably will have its services closed.

In short: Can a Global phone run 5G in India by any of its 5G sims?

So far no one can answer this question with concrete inform. Let's wait for official rollout and hope for the best.

The updates to this phone have ended my dude. On top of that this phone was release around Corona. Not many people bought it. Guess I'll take this question to my grave 💀

1. Jio has specifically mentioned on its device compatibilty page that it cannot provide 5G on devices purchased outside India. (Ss attached)
2. You can wait until Jio5G testing phase is over and it rolls out 5G commercially.
3. Dont know but airtel should have worked. Confirm bands available.

One friend of mine have pixel 7 pro USA version, jio 5g works fine on it.

Thats because jio whitelists devices on the basis of model numbers. Pixel from US will have same model number while samsung has different models

No actually only airtel will provide 5g which is not true 5g and almost same speed as 4g and all other true 5g will not recognize your handset as a 5g compatible handset

You will not get an answer here. Just write an email to their support and get a ticket registered. Most probably they will call you can help you in case its possible. Because samsung has already released a software update for a long fight by Indian customers, however earlier they denied clearly that hardware doesn't support 5G but when some of customers seeks legal help and filed cases they offered software update. I have attached a screenshot with 2 email addresses that you can send an email.
