As per your concern regarding compass application, we would like to inform you that in Samsung phones already have a built-in compass hidden inside the Edge Panels feature.
Please follow below steps to open it.
Go to Settings > Display > Edge Panels, turn it on, tap Panels, and select Tools. Then swipe the edge handle on your screen to find the compass.
