M51 slow update download speed

I am on a 50 Mbps WiFi speed.

The M51 download is showing more than 3 hours.

Is this normal?

actually your wifi is weak or maybe some background apps consuming your data speed
try with sync off and go setting>apps>option>show system apps>software update
than clr cache memory
and than reboot and try again maybe it works

No, Restart your device and try to do a speedtest then start downloading the update file.
I have 60 Mbps plan and it took around 5-6 minutes to download the update file.

I don't know why but I too faced this issue while trying to download a dlsecurity patch update once. my wifi is of 100mbps and it was providing me 40mbps (nearly) at that time. but the update was taking many hours. I finally had to switch to mobile network and then it was downloaded within seconds. I don't know what's the issue.

try this. restart your phone once and then try. and if it doesn't work, then most preferably, update using Smart Switch...

software update is little bit slower than normal download and it will change time to time

You can use PC for update and for that you need to download smart switch for mobile as well as pc. I am giving you link by which you download smart switch app.

For Mobile

1- you phone should connect with pc/laptop via Usb cable
2- you pc/laptop has separate internet connection not with phone whom you are updating
3- By opening the smart switch app in pc/laptop will show your mobile phone, there below that you can see if update available for your phone
4- If available, you can download and install

reset your wifi connection settings ... it will work for sure

My wifi speed 150 mbps..before i dint get any problem..now a days only getting 10 mbps .. on other phone getting speed more than 150 mbps
