Galaxy MYou probably used an unstable internet connection or pause while downloading a software update. This caused some files to be corrupted. And it broke your eMMC chip while installing the software update, because of corrupted files.

Galaxy MAlso the person at service center is not able to give any convincing reason for it and instead says it is better to buy a new phone, as even after motherboard replacement there is no guarantee that problem will be fixed.
