Steps to perform.

1) Turn off the device.

(Connect with type C cable and connect withpc/laptop only for Android 11 )

2) Press and hold the Volume Up key and the spower button.
3) When the Android logo displays, release all keys.
4) Press the Volume down key to navigate and select "Wipe cache partition".
5) Press Power key to select. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Select Reboot System.
6) Press the Power key to restart the device.

My device cannot connect cable as falsely claiming the port is wet. Port is dry and has been cleaned.   Left overnight still cable cannot connect.  The recommended way to fix this issue is to enter recovery mode.  This I cannot figure out how to do by any method suggested.  Have tried ten times holding power and a Variety of button configurations.  Still not able to enter recovery mode. Please any suggestions.

It changed with Android 11, now you need to plug the USB-C / micro-USB cable along with the combination buttons (Press & Hold the Power and Volume Up button)

you can enter recover mode by doing this
connect ur device to pc by usbc cable
and make sure ur device is visible in computer as logged in
turn off ur device with the cable connected to pc
and now hold power up and switch on button together until the recovery menu pops up

This does not work with the used s10+ I have just received. I can not perform a hard reset.

I tried the recommended method with my S10+ and it didn't work. I played around and the last time (!) I tried it, my laptop turned off and couldn't turn back on for a couple of minutes. I've NEVER had this happen before, and it wasn't due to the power supply. Something about doing what was recommended overwhelmed something. I still cannot access recovery mode and I need to reinstall Android because my camera app keeps failing, even after a factory reset. I just got it back from the repair shop, so it COULD be that they damaged the camera itself, I suppose, but having to send it off for another 2 weeks, without being able to use my SIM, is something I really want to avoid.

What can I do? Volume up+power doesn't work, nor does it work with the USB-C cable connected to my laptop. I've only ever seen the recovery menu once and I entered it quite by accident (or maybe there was a problem with the phone - I was surprised to see it).
