Front Camera not working on M30 Post Android Upgrade

The front camera has stopped working on my M30 since i had upgraded to Android 10.

This has been happening since last 1 month & has been impacting a lot of apps which require Front Camera . 

Everytime when i switch to Front Camera , then the screen freezes & only after resetting the camera settings , the back camera only works.

Can you please look into this issue , as this might result in customer dissatisfaction.

Bro go to settings > apps > show system apps > search for "camera test" and force stop it . Ur camera will work.

I've been trying to make this work since April of last year. With every successive software update the issue just got worse. It displays an error saying many apps cannot use the camera at the same time. I've flashed stock rom as well. No use. Factory reset done. No use. 

Samsung does not allow rollback on the software so once you updated you are doomed. There's no going back. This Would be a great thing if only samsung really addressed the bugs in the software. 

I've seen multiple threads stating that a change of motherboard has fixed the issue but the phone is too old now to spend almost the cost of a new phone for an old phone. 

I'm looking for custom roms now but for an average Joe like myself and many others, this would be a very time consuming process. Or out right impossible. 

I'll save you some time and let everyone know stock rom flashing doesn't help. 

None of the ota updates helped nor will factory reset, clearing cache and data, force stopping "camera test" nor "camera light sensor" , none of these work. 

The camera test by going through *#0*# upon clicking front camera freezes the phone for a few minutes before displaying a message that says camera service could not be reached.

All this on a phone that was working perfectly fine until an official ota android 10 update. 

I've moved on and bought a OnePlus Nord and I suggest anyone reading this post before samsung takes it down with the same problem to do the same. Or any other phone for that matter of fact. 

You will NOT BE RECEIVING A BUG FIX from samsung. The phone is old news. It would be a surprise if anyone even reads this thread anymore from samsung. 

If my custom rom flashing works, I'll try to remember and update it here. I highly doubt it. 

Hope this helps atleast one person not waste their time hoping for an update to fix the problem in the future.
