Cons of using a broken screen?

I have recently contacted the whatsapp support team who has already told me there is no potential harm to use a mobile phone with broken screen but still I wanna ask here

How much protection my galaxy device has been compromised with these crack lines and that minor wound?

So it seems that's a temperd glass.
So discard it and get a new one.

It is not....I havent applied any other protector over the handset I got inside the box cause it was mentioned that it has gorilla glass 5 so can easily tackle a waist-height fall with minimal damage and scratches.
