block unknown caller not working in Samsung devices

Im using SamsungA20, I want to block all unknown numbers that are not in my contact list. I found an option called " block unknown caller" i had turned on that option but of no use.. its not working at all.. i still getting unknown calls..

It happened on other Samsung devices as well.

Any solution?

If inbuilt one isn't working then use a 3rd party blocking app.

1. goto settings>apps> phone>storage and clear its cache.
2. see if background battery usage for phone app is allowed or not.
long press phone app>app info>battery>

3. If upper method don't work then goto settings>apps>3dot>reset app preference.

4. If none work then download true caller, its best to block calls.

I as well am facing this problem on oneUI 4.0. am using the galaxy s20 FE 5G.

Has there been any headway in resolving this matter?

I m using SamsungJ7max, i wan to block unknown calls so i turn on the block unknown calls in this device settings but no use of it. I still get unknown calls please fix this problem as soon as possible. Unknown calls are irritable

It is pretty sad that there is, not only no resolution but no response to this re-occurring issue.  Given the number of spoofed calls received.

Neither this nor my vendor-provided call filter are stopping or slowing the number of spam calls I receive.
