I have the galaxy a21s and it has 5000 mah and when I first bought it, the battery was good, it didn't drain up so quickly but nowadays it drains up kinda quickly. I cleared my cache, ram, background activity but nothing really worked. Recently my phone got a software update, it supports 1080p, is that why the battery is being drained faster than usual?

Using Safe Mode on a Samsung phone or tablet allows you to force the device to run the essential operating system, and disable most 3rd party applications. It's designed as a diagnostic tool to help solve issues with connectivity, battery life, and more.

You can enter Safe Mode by holding the power button > then three options will appear on your screen, namely Power Off, Restart & Emergency Mode > click & hold on the Power Off icon, it will give you an option to tap again and the device will restart in Safe Mode

To exit Safe Mode, just restart your device

Hi,

Please bring the device to a Samsung Service Center to help resolve the issue.

You can find the nearest service center to you online.

Hi

It could be because of some recent app you installed

I hope before you used the phone for the first time you let it charge to a 100%
Also, I hope you do not leave the charging cable connected even after your phone has charged.

You can try the following
Go to Settings > Apps > Select all apps one by one > Battery > here make sure under "Optimise Battery Usage" it says "Optimising Battery Usage" and not "Not Optimising"
You can change it to "Optimising Battery Usage" by just clicking it and switching the toggle
Next turn off "Allow Background Activity" for the apps you use the most

If the above does not help
Try Resetting and/or Hard Resetting your phone
Try using you phone in Safe Mode and see if the problem still occurs

Hope this helps 🤞🏻

yes, I charged it to a 100 the first time I got it, and I don't leave the charging cable connected all the time, and I have done all the steps you said me but still the same... Phone has fallen a couple of times, could that be the reason?

If you Google it you will see that it is a real issue almost everyone with Exynos chip S20 and 21 is facing. Samsung service centers will do a reset and give you some advices how to reduce the battery redemption, which is not helpful. There is a real problem and they don't want to admit it.
