My adapter is completely new. It's bought from official Samsung store. 25W adapter and C to C 5A cable.

The phone shows super fast charging at first, but within a while, it shifts to only charging mode. From 0 to 100%, it's taking 2 hours to charge with 25W.

I've posted on this issue almost 7-8 times, yet there is no effective response from Samsung. 25W is slow in 2025, moreover I get max 15-16W charging practically in A55. This issue is too much time killing for every user of A55. 2 hours, is it a joke? I even tried with my friend's 25W adapter of his A71.

Hey guys, isn't anyone of you facing this issue like me?

No, the result is same. Samsung claims that they've merged super fast charging in fast charging option. But I don't think so!
Not in only A55, in many other models, the issue is addressed. Just search SUPER FAST charging issue. You will get many posts in community.

I've faced the same situation once while charging but when I restart the smartphone then it charges normally with 25W charging speed.

Samsung knows the many issues with A55 so that's why they rollout beta update for 1st time in A series because 45k smartphone worst camera poor performance hardware is good but optimization no support still no official statement from samsung regarding this so they have manipulate us so we go in one ui 7 trap and don't complaint regarding this so after 1 yr of Mobile no voice raised from customer simple statergy from samsung

A brand like Samsung is bound to evaluate our pennies spent upon their device, whether it is midrange device or not. A55 should be equally supervised all over all regions.

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

We regret to hear about your experience with our product. Please believe that this is not a usual occurrence.

Please perform the below-mentioned troubleshooting steps, these may help in resolving your concern.

● We always recommend to use genuine Samsung charger for charging your device.

● Check your charging cable (USB cable) for physical damage such as wear and tear, bent prongs etc. If it is damaged, then kindly visit your nearest service center to get it replaced.

● Kindly check the charger functionality with a different device or try to charge the same device with a different charger.

● Check charging: If rating is 15W or above: Kindly try to charge the device in a non-inverter socket.

● If you using normal socket: As a safety measure Fast charging may not support, while you are using the device hence, request you to keep the device idle and check the charging performance.
Note: Kindly open Device care from settings > Battery > Please tap on three dots (more option) at the top right hand side > please select settings > enable fast cable charging.

For Android 11: Kindly open Device care from settings > tap on Battery > tap on More battery settings > Fast charging > Turn on.

● Kindly follow the standard charging procedure. i.e. please charge the device in switched-off condition for 10 minutes.

● Turn off Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, etc.
Turn off unused functions like Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and location settings when not using them: On the home screen swipe down the notification panel > Turn off Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and other connectivity features when not using them.

● Kindly check if ''Multiple applications'' are running in the background of the device.

● When running multiple applications, the processor processes more tasks and as a result, additional heat is released from the device. This happens with most electronic devices (even computers/laptops), including the devices of other manufacturers. Close all the background running apps when not using them.

● Avoid usage of mobile phones during charging. Usage of the mobile phone when charging may cause slow charging issues. So we recommend you avoid the usage of the mobile phone while charging.

● Update the software if available: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/mobile-devices/samsung-galaxy-smartphone-how-to-update-software/

● You can reset your device by following the steps.
1. Kindly create a data backup of your device via the SMART switch mobile application or http://www.samsung.com/in/support/smartswitch pc suite.
2. Remember the Google password before resetting the device because it is required during initial setup.
3. If you do not remember password then advise to reset (Forgot password) your Google account.

Path: Settings> General Management.>Reset>Temporary cloud backup or External storage backup>After backup tab on Factory data reset to reset your device to its factory default settings.
This will erase all data, including files and downloaded apps.

In case the issue still occurs, kindly visit the service centre for a physical inspection of your device. You can locate your nearest service centre with this given link: https://www.samsung.com/in/support/service-center/

Warm Regards,
