Galaxy ADear Samsung member,
Greetings from Samsung customer support.
We acknowledge your query and apologize for the inconvenience caused to you and will surely assist you regarding the same and please follow the easy troubleshooting steps which might help to solve the issue.
1. Turn on Show hidden system files:
Navigate to Apps, and then tap My Files. You may need to open the Samsung folder to find My Files. Tap More options (the three vertical dots), and then tap Settings.
Tap the switch next to Show hidden system files, and then tap Back to return to the file list. Hidden files will now appear.
2. Check the Trash in My Files and Gallery:
My Files: Menu>my files>more options (the three vertical dots)>recycle-bin. Navigate to and touch and hold the missing file. Then, tap restore.
Gallery: Menu>gallery app>more options (the three vertical dots)>recycle-bin. To restore an image, tap Edit, and then select your image. Tap Restore.
3. Check synced files:
If an image was previously synced or backed up, it may not show up in the Gallery app. If you are using Samsung Cloud, you can view your synced images from your device.
Menu> apps>settings>accounts and backup. Tap the Samsung cloud, and then look for the images in question.
4. If your missing images are not in the recycle bin, synced to the cloud, or backed up, they cannot be recovered.
For restoring your gallery files:
Settings >Accounts and backup > Samsung Cloud > Restore data > Restore > Done Or if you have created a backup using any other app/service, you can restore accordingly.
5. In case you did not create a backup of your data, we are sorry to inform you that there is no way to restore your data.
In case the issue still occurs. Please register your concern in Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Support> Tap on error report > Type your query > Send).
Thank you for writing to Samsung.
Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support
