Galaxy ADear Samsung Member,
Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!
As per your query, we want to inform you that the Battery Protect feature helps extend the lifespan of your battery by managing charge levels and preventing overcharging. However, it is set to limit the battery charge to 85% by default.
If you prefer to have your battery charged to 100%, you can disable the Battery Protect function.
Path: Settings — Battery and device care –Battery — More battery settings — Protect battery.
Once this feature is disabled, your phone will charge to its full capacity. If you have other concerns regarding Samsung products kindly feel free to get in touch with us.
Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support
