Galaxy AMy advice: go to samsung and report this issue and get the display changed. If you were not at fault and the issue has been caused by an update that they rolled out, it's their responsibility to fix it. They will most likely get the display changed. If they refuse you are free to file a complain at consumer court. This is considering If you are sure you haven't caused this damage on your own.
