Hello Samsung Support,
It seems A55 uses earpiece speaker as secondary speaker. During any voice call, if you put call on Speaker or by mistake speaker button touched it on, then very loud sound can damage your ear. This happened with me twice.
My request to samsung technical team to disable earpiece to become speaker during calls. There is dedicated speaker in the bottom is enough during the calls. Please consider this request in next update.

Brother, I can understand your concern.
Actually, A55 is supports stereo speaker feature and that's why whenever you click on Speaker icon it enables the Stereo speaker mode.. hence increasing the Earpiece volume (as Earpiece speaker is now acting as Stereo speaker).

Accidental touch can be a issue in this case.

My suggestion to you, till Samsung fix this is- Cover the proximity sensor well(using ear 👂🏼) while making calls.. this will prevent screen from turning on hence Speaker icon will not be pressed.

Hi. This concern is really a major issue. I shifted to A55 recently and this has caused me major ear pain especially when listening to whatsapp voice notes. I play the voice note and put the phone on my ear. By the times it cancels the loudspeaker, the damage is already done to the ear. I am really thinking of changing my phone again bcos of this. Pls do a rollback on this and have the loudspeaker work only on the speaker in the bottom. Thanks

I might have found a solution for this. Go to Settings>accessibility >hearing enhancements>phone speakers then drag the button all the way to the right. This way your loudspeaker plays only thru bottom speaker and that will prevent harming ur ear during transition from loudspeaker to ear speaker. I hope that helps solving ur problem.
