now that you brought this up ....Samsung is extremely humiliated by its share holders this year and a lot of petitions were against Samsung exynos chipset.......now the reason why exynos chipset works inferior to that of snapdragon is due to Samsung's exynos custom mongoose cores (they are beastly powerful but generate heat and consume more battery) which leads to inefficiency of other the other cores which in turn effect the whole performance........but on the other hand snapdragon also uses its custom kyro cores which are powerful and balanced (very efficient in battery and doesn't generate much heat ) .... both are based on arm architecture........and exynos currently uses the mali g77 GPU which are almost a generation behind when compared to adreno 650 GPU of snapdragon........now with that level of humiliation made Samsung to turn on their beast mode .......yes you heard it right Samsung is gonna go back to the drawing board and build everything from the bottom .....as we know galaxy note 20 series are going to launch ahead and if Samsung uses the same chipset as used in s20 series then its like digging their own trap......so they are working very hard on their semiconductor division......recently arm announced it new architecture for next year flagship chipsets but Samsung took things earlier and is building exynos 992 which is successor to exynos 990 ......now Samsung is doing all in a right direction it isn't gonna use its custom mongoose cores instead it requested ARM(who is baap of everyone in this division) to make them for the next coming years and the cores are named as cortex X1 and it's a 5nm processor rather 7nm it means it's more efficient than snapdragon itself and don't be surprised if exynos 992 trashes the snapdragon 865 in terms of performance and in battery life .....even then the gpu of this chipset is still going to be mali but it's the latest gpu by ARM which closes the gap between its competitor adreno 650 ......and not that yet Samsung also partnered with AMD (industry leader in gaming gpu) and next chipset after exynos 992 mostly called exynos 1000 will get monster gpu gains . .like the whole GPU is built on AMD's RDNA architecture which we about to see in ps 5 and xbox x which is insane .......in short the adreno gpu are no match for AMD gpu .......The exynos 1000 will likely to debut in galaxy s21 .......


Seeing all this if I were you i would prefer exynos blindly in future

Everything isn't perfect at some point but Samsung is coming back with pack of performance

Even the companies like Google leaving snapdragon in favor of exynos in coming months (yes pixel 5 comes with note 20 processor)

And in return Google is contributing it's own NPU which is responsible for amazing photos in pixel phone into that exynos chipset which again leads to benefit of exynos chipset

I agree in all points but one, industry leading gaming GPU manufacturer is not AMD, its Nvidia.

heyy X1 and 5nm Snapdragon 875 and 875+ me bhi aayega isi sal ke December tak 🤣🤣

Aur Mediatek,Huawei, jese bade competitor bhi hai market me

Samsung ka Tatti Exynos bahut piche hai

Exynos ko Hum log heat , GPU ke bajese tatti nahi bolte puri SOC tatti hai ISP,DSP,Wifi,radio Modems,Memory controller sab tatti hai

Aur sabsi hada Nafrat is chiz ki ki Samsung bas 1 SOC banayega aur fir 2-4 Sal wahi SOC ka namm change kar kar ke naye Overpriced phone me bechega

Example Exynos 7870,7885,9610,9611 iske aage kuch badhe ga bhi???

Exynos 850 tatti hai Low power cores

Bas Exynos 880 Promising laga Agr Wo Exynos 9611 ko replace karega toh otherwise ...........

Bro there is one more issue with exynos other than heating and less impressive GPU. That is custom rom support.

At a time when most devices are getting their first taste of Android 10 with official or unofficial builds of LineageOS 17, the Galaxy Note 10 series powered by the Exynos chipset is getting its first unofficial build of LineageOS 16 based on Android 9 Pie.

I am following Samsung exynos since 2015, and nothing much has changed till now. Same issues repeating year after year.
