Community Content - Feedback Request

Hello Members

Want to request you all to take 2 mins to read below and share your view-point on a few things. 

As part of a campaign to encourage our Members community to share their hobbies and passions, we have asked BAs to start the conversation by sharing their own hobbies, passions and other non-tech topics. 

Some active users have expressed that they feel this content is not relevant. This in OK, as long as the discussion remains civil. Many users have participated in this discussion properly.

But out of these, some (like darkvarder1) have taken things too far (example of a comment below)

• Users like this take every opportunity to blame Moderators when they get banned. But they are openly threatening other users who are completely minding their own business.
• They feel that communicating via memes is an effective mode of giving feedback, where many users and BAs are actively using the feedback section, sending error logs and participating in Beta programs. 
• They keep inciting others to fight with them on other channels like twitter and discord.

Do users like this represent you and your attitude towards your fellow Members?

Want to take your opinion on below 3 things - 

1. Should users like this be entertained, or be removed with zero tolerance towards violent threats?

2. Do you mind the occasional off-topic threads on the Members community? 

3. Do these threads make it difficult for you to find other relevant content? If yes, Would you prefer if there was a different sub-forum for such off-topic threads?

this whole situation could be avoid you havent spammed here dusron ko toh bolte ho ki spamm mat karo woh line mat likho par app log khud hi wohi kaam karte ho aur izzat kon nahi kar hum , dhang se baaat kon nahi kar raha mein are yaar !!!

who is threatening you, me that's completely wrong you guys spam the community and then blame and try to block me right, well let me tell you, guys invited the BA level spamming and then you tell me to get off this platform, blocking me is not the solution to the  problem you guys spam in the community and then tell me to block, isn't that injustice to us who raise the voice against you guys only just for the BA league spamming I am also a user to this community but you guys always conspire about me and want to get rid of me right, then why should you guys stop this BA league spamming on the forum and i will also stop these comments and focus on problem-solving if you still wanted to continue like this level spamming then how would I bear it, you guys and moderators block me just for raising voice against you guys right , then why dont you guys just stop this BA league spamming on the community and then i will also stop from here deal or not

1. yes users should be removed who threatens BAs or any other members.

2. No, off topic threads should not be posted here on this community. If we do post off topic content, Then there's no reason to call this community a Samsung Community.

3. Yes an off topic forum/category would be fine but it should not include too much off topic content. anything related to technology works.

Comments for the Point 1 as above:

1. A direct threat to users, is simply intolerable and such users should be banned or follow the strikes mechanism (I think which is already in place)
2. It is possible for genuine members to come up with such language to express their angst, as a feedback this should be taken up with prompt action and the user can be reached out for their pain point and at the same time the user should be notified for not using such expression.
-- Reason: Simply closing a certain expression will block them to share their concern, will block us with critical feedback and ultimately fireback on us.

3. If the user continues to do so repeatedly, even after crossing a set defined number of strikes or a cool down period, then the user is clearly violating the terms of the platform Samsung and all appropriate action taken is justified.


Suggestions:

We can implement invisibility cloak where such user's comments is not visible on the platform or only to admins and moderators. This can contain such hatred while allowing us to be at the receiver's end of such feedbacks.

Comments for Point 2 & 3 as above:

Ocassional off-topic threads on the Members Community is allright but should be limited but with a certainty defined measure for what is considered as "occasional".

YES, a different sub-forum always helps to keep things more relevant and organised. But a sub-forum should be meaningfully different so as to avoid confusion for simply naive users. Even if a miscellaneous category is required, that would be preferable than two forums with synonymous name/use case.

It is funny that you think this is a negotiation, where so many BAs and other users are asking to ban you. 

BA Super league is anyway ending soon, I want to make it clear that your unacceptable behavior has anything to do with it. 

Currently waiting on community feedback whether to ban users like you or not.
