I don't know why samsung did this but i also noticing this since the update came there should pe and option to adjust the size of Status bar icons although they made the Wifi And Network signal more larger maybe that's why the battery icon looking so...
Check the update in settings or use Smart switch on laptop to check for update because S23 series got the update globally i have UAE version and i got it on 21 May
