It's super easy to do and takes about 5 mins. I also got tired of waiting. My next phone will definitely not be a Samsung again if this is how they do their updates
I don't think it affects future updates... Will have to wait and see when another update comes out. But I did change my CSC back to XFA afterwards. And the update still runs smoothly
What phone do you have? I have an S22 and changed my CSC to a bunch of different ones but didn't work. Today I changed it to THL and got the update 1st try
