Yes, it's possible, you need to go to the keypad, on top there are vertical three dots at the top right corner click it and then click settings, then on call settings you will get the RECORD CALL  option .

At first I got some very little lag on my notificationpanel,once i restarted for some reason, I haven't noticed any lag afterwards but opposite

Well, it's a big improvement, all is available in tips and user manual to us to understand, I have use Good Lock to make it even better , and so makes it easier and fun to use 
