It did yes. But looking at other comments, looks like it can work with just clearing the cache. So maybe try that first before reinstalling Galaxy Wearables.
No, you don't have to reset the watch. When you reinstall, during adding devices, it can identify older devices and will sync everything automatically.
Clear cache of Galaxy Wearables and wait or just reinstall it again. Reinstalling worked for me. I didn't try clearing the cachering cache but should work.
