One UI 8.5 seems to be the shortest One UI version ever lived but having the longest beta. 

I don't even do anything and phone will be just there, with screen off, and still it'll drain a lot

Truee, I was looking for this exact thing. Normally it should be 10% battery drain for 1 hour usage.. now it's more than 15 to 20% per hour.

Did you go to wallpaper services from home screen and disable swipe to show glance and select none from those options?
