No phone out there wastes space with huge borders around icons, brightness, and volume sliders in the quick panel. It's a huge waste of space. Please check it out and get rid of those useless borders.

I tapped on power off option but my phone got switched off instead.Yes, it's now working. I have to press it continuously for 2 seconds. Earlier I tapped it twice. 
