I'm kinda confused about the compatibility of the new galaxy watch 6. In Samsung's website (https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00082502/) it says that for Samsung mobile, the minimum requirement should be Android 10 or higher. But of non-samsung phones, the minimum is Android 8 or higher.

My phone is the galaxy note 8 with android 9. Will this watch work with mine or not? I'm just confused because for non samsung, it should work right, base on the requirements stated in samsung website. Is there a specific difference as to why the requirement for samsung phone is higher than non samsung phones?

Kindly note that the Samsung devices should be on Android 10 minimum this means that the devices with less than Android 10 ( Android 9 and less ) won't be compatible with this watch, unfortunately.

We would like to confirm that the Galaxy Watch6 Classic must be paired with a Samsung Galaxy smartphone with Android 10.0 and minimum 1.5GB Memory. However, for the Non-Samsung Android phone compatibility this watch can be paired with Phones with Android 8.0 and RAM 1.5 GB or higher
