It keeps getting locked even though it's on the wrist. Have to unlock it 3-6 times so it won't lock again. Doesn't happen always though, sometimes.

I'm using Galaxy Watch 4 Classic LTE running One UI 5.

That's frustrating!

The issue you're experiencing with your Galaxy Watch getting locked despite being worn on your wrist is likely related to the "Wrist Wake" or "Wrist Recognition" feature.

Here are some troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue:

*Troubleshooting Steps*

1. *Check Wrist Wake settings*: Ensure that Wrist Wake is enabled. Go to _Settings_ > _Advanced features_ > _Wrist Wake_.
2. *Adjust Wrist Recognition sensitivity*: Try adjusting the Wrist Recognition sensitivity. Go to _Settings_ > _Advanced features_ > _Wrist Recognition_.
3. *Check for software updates*: Ensure your watch is running the latest software. Go to _Settings_ > _Software update_.
4. *Reset Wrist Recognition*: Try resetting Wrist Recognition. Go to _Settings_ > _Advanced features_ > _Wrist Recognition_ > _Reset Wrist Recognition_.
5. *Disable and re-enable Wrist Wake*: Try disabling Wrist Wake and then re-enabling it. Go to _Settings_ > _Advanced features_ > _Wrist Wake_.

*Additional Tips*

1. *Ensure proper wear*: Make sure the watch is worn snugly on your wrist, with the sensor touching your skin.
2. *Avoid loose or tight wear*: Avoid wearing the watch too loosely or too tightly, as this can affect Wrist Recognition.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, I recommend reaching out to Samsung support for further assistance.

Under Settings ➝ Advanced Features there are following settings:
1. Disconnection alerts
2. Water lock
3. Customise buttons
4. Status indicators
Gestures
1. Answer calls
2. Dismiss alerts and calls
3. Quick launch
4. Bixby
There's no wrist recognition setting.

Maybe in your model this option is absent. Your query did not specify model number. Thus my reply was generalistic. Hope you understand.

I checked it with Galaxy Watch 7. Even it doesn't have wrist recognition setting under Advanced Features.

I've reset the watch twice but still same issue persists. One thing to note is that I'm facing this issue just a month after updating.

The update has disturbed the watch. Take it to a service centre. See if it helps,or, wait for one UI 7.0 🤷
