Buds pro has the best audio quality and features out of the two.
But the buds 2 is the most comfortable out of the two and hence more people find it better than the buds pro, purely because of comfort and fit.

Data is not supposed to get deleted, but I won't recommend updating to Beta if it's your primary device. There will be a lot of bugs.
