I want double tap to screen off in my samsung galaxy s9.

its in One Ui 3.0 aka Android 11 for Samsung. If so falls in Android 11 update category...post the update you can use this feature

unfortunately you're not getting it officially as Samsung S9 is excluded from one ui 3.0 program but you can use third party apps for it or you can take the help of assistant menu to turn of the screen with a single tap which is available in the accessibility menu

Install Microsoft launcher, that have this feature for more than a year now.
