call recorder feature.. why is this missing

Why is such a basic feature like call recorder Missing in the dialler

They do have an automatic call recorder though.. U hv to enable it. But one does not need all calls to be recorded.. Its a basic feature these days

you can manually select for each call whether to record or not
and if you want all calls to be recorded then there is an option for that also
Can also select which contacts you want everytime to be recorded in advance also

I do have that option on my note 9 but it sometimes record the calls and sometimes doesn't.
