Will one Ui 8 right all things done wronged by oneui 7?

I lost my network when I last updated to one ui 7 in s22 ultra, and I don't wanna spend tons of money repairing it. So i started using two phones one for calling and one for other.

I talked to customer support and send them my logs, they said update to new software to rectify it. 
But i am still hesistant to update to one ui 8. Is it time should i do it? Or will something else break in my phone?
