Tech TalkHello there,
I bought a 640gb Samsung s2 portable hard drive for my company Nippon Alloys Inc work purposes. It was working properly and had been for about 6 months. However, I haven't plugged it in or used it in about a month. I'm running Windows 7. Today, when I tried to use it, Windows refused to recognize it.
The light turns on automatically and glows blue as usual. It also produces the expected whirring noise. There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with it, but Windows won't recognize it. I've tried everything you'd think: restarting the computer, unplugging and replugging, trying out different ports, machines, and cables.
So, my question is, what should I do next? I'm not sure what I'd even try now that I can't even get Windows to do anything with it.
Thank you for taking the time to respond.
