So far, i have found only 4 uses for my Watch4:

1. Time, Date & Weather
2. Accepting/ Rejecting phone calls
3. Navigation
4. Notifications

I don't use it to monitor my health because all that is pure gimmick. Read about it here:

Cheap 'smartwatches' usually don't support calls and GPS, so keep that in mind.

Is there anything else that a smartwatch is useful for?

EDIT

If you have an LTE variant, you can use your SIM card in your watch, while using e-Sim in your phone (assuming it supports it). No need for separate number. Thanks to @Gst26 for this very useful info.

Checking blood pressure on the Galaxy Watch4. A Samsung phone is needed to do this and to check your ECG. Galaxy Watch4 used is the 44mm When measuring make sure to stay still and quiet for accurate readings.

Gps based linking to apps like strava which gives a more reliable data of exercise compared to using phone alone. Like exact distance, altitude, etc so that the app is able to calculate calorie burnt more efficiently.
