Well, can the smart tag 2 be used as remote to launch app on samsung device when away.
Such as when suddenly u want to start voice recording on the phone its paired with by long press/tap, when one cannot get to ur phone on table to start voice recording with people around.
Or Start making emergency call on preset number more like speed dial when u are in front of a perpetrator but u cannot let them them know u are calling someone for help.

I really appreciate your response. I would like to add that Samsung Smart Tag 2 has its Key purpose of tracking and reporting last Known location of the tag to user's samsung device. However, it will be much better if it could be used for remotely operating apps on users device without giving out chime & any sort of sound when programmed to start a specific task on users device Such as:
1) Being used as remote for camera with press of button for groupie since most casual users don't carry tripod around except some professional photographers.
2) When in emergency being chased by perpetrator or in remote area, users such as girls/ladies might have their mobile in hand bag can use click of smart tag 2 to send out programmed emergency message to pre-selected contacts. They can attach smart tag to bag handle.
3) when in office or specific use can scenario when mobile is in pocket or desk, suddenly a conversation started and user wants to record the same, without reaching out for the mobile device since it might alarm the orators to spill out the beans or be cautioned regarding what to speak. User can press smart tag 2 button to start voice recorder on phone, then press again to stop and save the same.
4) Many a times, there might be a case when two persons have same mobile device models of samsung, the device might get swapped by mistake, so smart tag 2 can be pre-programmed to give out chime or alarm tone when it gets away from it or ring the device with pop up that it's away from smart Tag (similar to that of S Pen in S series Ultra devices, when S pen is away from the device it sends out pop up S Pen away from device). This one case of device getting swapped with colleague, I faced my self.
Also, future smart tags can be designed like a fidget spinner so that user doesn't leaves the tag by being forgetful.
