Nearby Share  Is A New Tool For Sharing Files Across Andriod Devices.

It uses Wifi Direct Protocol to transfer files.



Head Over To Your Notification Panel And Scroll Down you will notice a New Icon.

To Set It Up Tap The Icon.
It Requires WIFI, BLUETOOTH & LOCATION.
Grant it the Necessary Permissions And You Are Good To Go.
Also You Can Rename You Device And Change your visibility according to your preferences.

To Share Files , Select the files that you want to Share And Select Nearby Share from the Share Sheet.

After Tapping The Nearby Share App You will shown the list of devices Available Within Your Range.

Select Your Recipient And Your Files Should Be Shared.

Note:- Google Is Still Rolling Out Nearby Share.
If you haven't received it yet , it will show up soon.

but in my opinion still wifi direct is better
as it not Required bluetooth, wifi or location

The Problem with wifi Direct is it is unintuitive.
You Have To Connect Both Device and then transfer.
Nearby Share uses bluetooth for pairing as it is fast and reliable
