Bro it's is just a gimmick.
I have a Galaxy phone without voice focus can produce clear sound on call and at the same time using voice focus in another device also produce same sound. Then there is not a difference between voice focus and without voice focus as i experience.

And yes if your device have voice focus then doing call without voice focus is just a lol. Without voice focus calling speaker produce sound with noise.
