MIMO stands for Multiple Input Multiple Output which means the device can communicate over multiple simultaneous channels and increase its throughput

It requires the devices to have as many antennas as the channels to support and also required the network access device to support this technology. E.g. if your cellular service provider doesn't support MIMO to the last mile, the device can't use it.

Theoretically the througgput can be as high as the channels e.g.4×4 MIMO device could deliver 4 times the 1x1 throughput.

Samsung Galaxy 9 onwards, the premium phone and note series have had MIMO support
