Tech TalkSouth Korean tech giant Samsung announced yesterday that the company has made a new breakthrough in 5G data rates using E-UTRAN New Radio Dual Connectivity (EN-DC) technology.
Galaxy S20 + became the world’s fastest smartphone in terms of 5G speed
Advanced telecommunications technology, enabling the use of 5G and 4G LTE base stations, has enabled the company to achieve 5.23 Gbps data rates on a smartphone. It used last year’s Galaxy S20 + smartphone, which was able to download a 4GB movie in just 6 seconds.
E-UTRAN New Radio Dual Connectivity (EN-DC) technology allows mobile operators to increase the speed and coverage of 5G by using the 4G network. Prior to this, the record was fixed at around 4.25 Gbps, it was set using MU-MIMO technology.
Samsung is actively trying to expand its presence in the 5G market by offering end-to-end solutions, including chipsets. Samsung has signed 5G networking equipment supply agreements with mobile operators in countries such as the United States, Canada and New Zealand
