Innovation Lab #48: Smartphone Widgets

Our community is brimming with ideas through which we can make your Galaxy experience better! Share your suggestions directly with our teams through Innovation Lab.  Your feedback will be scrutinized to produce possible improvements in customer experience.

This week, we would like to look into the usability of smartphone widgets.

A widget is an application extension that is often part of a larger application already installed on your phone. Widgets come in different shapes and sizes, and are located on home screen for quick access to information without requiring you to open the app that manages this information. 

So, the topics are:

1. Smartphone Widget: General feedback on usability of the application extension.

All you need to do is:

1. Create a post detailing your idea/suggestion
2. Include illustrations/diagrams/images or any detail you feel will help us understand it better
3. Include #InnovationLab in your post title/subject

We will take a note of all your suggestions! Week 48 topics will be open till 2nd Oct. Week 49 topics will be announced later.

Come on!! At least don't pretend to yourself that you all care for our ideas. No one even replies to posts and questions, let alone implementing our ideas!!

Why is there no fix for the Exynos 9611 motherboard issue? What about the ever increasing display failures across models after software updates? Why software updates are causing these issues? Why can't Samsung give updates without serious bugs like this?

Can make custom widgets.
Like,
1.custom font and font size
2.Select app or any event shortcut for widget
3. can select predefined custom icon and can upload custom icons for widgets
4. Custom icon or select icon color or image and opacity of in this icon
5. Widgets can set any size
6. Widget dependency, like
6.a) any widget click that moment selected widget icon color change or data load.
7. Widget can not only select app or other event shortcut, it can also calculation equation also add and other action or prefection
8. Custom border for Widget
9. Any app open with pop-up shortcut add in widget.
