So couple of months ago SAMSUNG made it mandatory to use 2 step verification for SAMSUNG account.

Now here is the thing,

Suppose my mobile phone is lost or stolen,
What I am supposed to do? Track it on Samsung website using Find my mobile, Right?

But to login on that website it will ask me for OTP.

AND MY PHONE IS LOST SO THE SIM CARD IS IN IT SO THERE IS NO WAY TO READ OTP.
I am supposing the Thief isn't that generous that he will give me my SIM card back so that I can get the OTP.

So can anyone tell me how that FIND MY MOBILE is useful?

In most of the cases phones are lost when we are our of station and there we won't be having our trusted devices with us. So what is the use of Find My Mobile?

And if I am right, how come SAMSUNG engineers haven't thought about it and what's the fix?

Ps- I am not expecting this answer "We can't change policy because of one user" 😉
Because in emergency everyone will face this issue.

They have a set of verification codes which can be downloaded in a text format which can be used only once. Those codes are useful in this cases.

This is the problem with every 2 step verification.
You need to have a back up to login.
