Hi guys, I have a newly bought Samsung S23 plus US version unlocked (Snapdragon), software version S91*U1, CSC is XAA. I live in India currently, and I am not able to use the call recording and Samsung Pay and I think some other features are missing as well. I thought the US version XAA would have more and better features compared to Indian, but not sure why it's like this. Anyway, I read somewhere that changing CSC to INS or something would work for getting the features like call recording and SPay and stuff,.. and without losing warranty or any other side effects..? Could anybody please provide some insights on this ? Or if you have tried this, is everything okay ? Is this worth the change ?

Dear Samsung Member,

Greetings from Samsung Customer Support!

As per your concern, we would like to inform you that the products manufactured in different countries may vary in features and specifications, and we do not recommend changing the CSC code of the device. You can visit the service center team they will provide you all better information regarding the same.

Warm Regards,
Samsung Customer Support

Hi absolute_zero

I purchased S 22 ultra unlocked last year from the US as well.

My csc is XAA as well

I am currently living in India as well

I suppose we have the exact same problem buddy 🥲😅

While using SamFW I see that the supported CSC for my device are only of the north America region.

I am able to use Samsung pay in the manner that I have added a few credit cards and that's it. The offers aren't specific to indian stores and I cannot link DigiLocker and upi with samsung pay
Call recording isn't working as well

Am trying to figure out a solution to this as well.

Did you have any luck so far? Did you try anything ?

There's a method using Alliance shield app and another using this SamFw

Please update

I didn't get time to check this. I had another issue in my other phone, and was looking into that.
But I heard from some of my friends and on some online forums, that changing CSC through SamFW worked for them. Not sure how they accomplished it

Well i tried samFW a couple months back and I remember that there wasn't an option from the drop down menu in there for changing CSC.

Also the firmware associated with indian csc and XAA is different.

I'll update here as well if I see a solution
