What is point of pre order if you can not deliver product on time? You just killed all excitement of new product. I feel like i do not want that product now. Here is more details.
I pre booked Galaxy tab S8 + on 8th March by going to samsung store near me. They booked and swiped my credit card with 2k. I got text message with delivery date of UPTO 10th April. Now i do not have anything regarding product status. No shipping information, no order no, when will i get my product, nothing. If i try customer service number they say go to samsung shop application and go through their customer service. When i do that, shop customer service says: You haven't ordered it with samsung shop application so we can not help you. Please visit store where you have booked your Product.
So I went to store and they keep saying product is not available yet and we will call you as soon as we receive product.
Amusing thing is even if i order product right now on online platform it will be available within 12 days. So why pre order stuff taking much time? What is really point of pre order?

Registered complaint at conusmer forum. Samsung called me after that and still same game happened. We are sorry for all inconvenience we caused and all. We will let you know when order can be delivered.
AND I told them I won't be easy on you. You guys are going to pay for all this inconvenience.
Will share my experience with you all guys.

Horrible thing is no one has record of pre order.
If i go to store they say please go to customer care only they can provide.
And if i go to customer care they say we only check online order that has been made through samsung shop app or website.

I have put in pre order at 1st March, I was told by samsung offline store, we will receive the device by 12th March, then they started giving me updated dates and all. Nothing is delivered till date. I am planning to cancel my pre order

Don't cancel just keep fighting. Do complaint at consumer forum. I didn't get any results yet bt will keep fighting.

I did the exact same thing. 3 rd March and now they are arm twisting me to buy 5g variant. That too with no additional discount on that. So pathetic. Feel like cancelling but that's such a loss.

Well there is one thing I got from customer care.
What they say is "Pre reserve is not order. You are just pre reserving product for earlier access than others. After product is live you will get product that's what pre orders are for and it is company's responsibility to fullfill it. As you have ordered it via going physical store you need to ask them about product."
So i said i already did.
They said ask them "to write email to company about product order issue."
Now i don understand isnt it their job to do so? How is it supposed to be my role to give directions to samsung store person about order not delivered issue!

Final comment on this thread. I did get product on 12/05/2022 after waiting from 10/04/2022. I had to go to the consumer forum. They were not abe to help me at all so i asked them that i want to move forward with this issue. They suggested me to go to edakhil website (i live in India where edakhil is portal for filing case). I registered there with legal complaint to court. Added Samsung Pvt Ltd and That Store as opposition party and submitted. After few days Store person called me and said we have asked company for tablet and it will available in 3-4 days. We will call you when its available. And i got it on 12/05. Keyboard cover took another 15 days to avail that pre book offer as offer period was gone so they had to make separate request just for my case. And i got that one too.
