Hi, I'm a developer and I have an issue with the Samsung Tab A (2019) SM-T290 after the Android 11 One UI 3.0 upgrade. In my application, I'm using the Samsung default camera to take images and then do some image manipulation. Now the problem is that if I use the default option for taking images with an android Intent (MediaStore.ACTION_IMAGE_CAPTURE, more on https://developer.android.com/training/camera/photobasics) the image that I get has a really low resolution of  600x800 px. But if I take the image with the same camera application and then get the image from the gallery then I get a full-size image 3264x2448 px.

I have exact;y the same issue. So it is not an issue of an OP's app, but the system-wide issue with this device.

Could you advice on a solution?

Has there been a solution to this issue? I've just had a client bring this to my attention and I'm surprised that I can't find much information about this anywhere.

I have been assured that the tablets are up-to-date, however as I don't have this exact model tablet currently on-hand (and my S6 tablet doesn't exhibit this issue) I can't yet confirm this.

Is there a workaround available?
