Background-
Using the developer options in Smart View, I used my Tab A8 (2022) as a second display for my setup.

But after updating it to OneUi 5.1.1, the Developer option was locked and it did not opened.

But just yesterday I found a method to use my Tab as second screen.

You will need -
  • Shizuku app (available on Play Store)
(I don't want to do adb stuffs from laptop so I am using this app. From app, it is very easy.)

  • SystemUI Tuner (available on Play Store)
  • Second Screen (for Windows laptop/desktop)

Procedure
1. Follow the steps given in Shizuku app to do the app setup and grant the permissions. "Start via Wireless debugging" option is preferred by me as it does the adb stuffs automatically without the use of a laptop.

2. Open SystemUI Tuner app and do the setup as described in the app. Grand the permissions which will be asked using Shizuku app. (Or you may do the needful with adb too)

3. Now, in SystemUI Tuner app,
  • Open the app.
  • Go to System drop-down menu.
  • Click Lockscreen shortcut menu.
  • Choose any one (left or right) shortcut.
  • Search for Smartview, and click it.
  • Now search for DevelperOptionActivity, select it.
  • Click OK.
  • Lock your device. And you should be able to access the developer options.
Select Second Screen option in the developer settings app, connect your laptop/PC using Second Screen and use Tab as extended display.😁

CAUTION -
  • Do not play with SystemUI Tuner app if you don't know what you are doing.
KEEP IN MIND -
  • This is just a work around. So sometimes the devices may not connect on the go. You may need to try to connect for few times.
  • Shizuku app will get disconnected after a reboot (it is mentioned in the app). So you might have to do the initial steps to connect after you do a reboot.

Well, S series have that option...
A series Tabs did not have that option by default... Earlier it used to be in Developers Option. But sometime back, that option was also locked with an update.
.
So this work around 😅

Nope... Second Screen works on WiFi afaik...
.
You will need some third party app like SpaceDesk, WiredXDisplay (not working in Windows 11 from my experience), SuperDisplay.
.
All are paid apps afaik...

Many thanks for this.

On Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (SM-P610) Android 13 One UI 5.1.1 this workaround worked flawlessly.

I can't find the second screen option after enabling in the System tuner. Can you please attach a screen shot of where you enabled it.
