Charging Stopped after May Update S8+

My s8+ charging is stopped after the May update. It sometimes charges, and sometimes it doesn't (which could be a glitch). There's no hardware issue with the charger or earphones (type-c), but they stopped working after the update.

As per your concern, we would request you to kindly perform the following steps.

Check connectivity & charger functionality: Please check whether the charger cable and adapter are fixed well. Remove the charging cable and reconnect with the mobile phone properly.

Request you to check the charger functionality with a different device or try to charge the same device with a different charger.

Note: Kindly open Device Care from Settings > Battery > Please tap on 3dots (more option) at the top right-hand side > Please select settings> Enable fast cable charging.

Kindly disable the battery protection mode( if enabled).

Kindly follow the standard charging procedure. Charge the device in switch-off condition for a minimum of 10 minutes.

Please check the back panel of your device's physical condition (Bulge, Swelling, or visible damage).

If the physical condition is not good: Request you to turn off the device immediately and please do not try to charge or tamper with the battery also request you to visit the service center immediately.

In case the issue still occurs, kindly report the problems with a log file. To share a log file, click on the Samsung Members Application (Open Samsung Members Application > Support> Tap on error report > Type your query > Send).

My s8 had the same problem twice about 2 and 4 months back.

It charged slow or didn't charge at all though sometimes it charged normally.

I tried different chargers and cables, cleaned the port but it didn't work.
But after some days it worked fine. Don't know what causes it.

Poor quality control from Samsung i guess!

Oh, it's pretty bad quality...I don't want to take any chances. My warranty and care are set to expire in three days. I'm going to the service center today.

They checked it...and concluded that my tablet has damaged(slightly bend)...and on the same day i might have done the update...so i assumed that the issue is from the software update...thank god I have a free care+(free for students)...I paid 3.5k for claim initiation...and the total estimated repair cost is appropriately 34k(will be paid by servify)

I am facing this same issue after the recent update.
