Contacted Netflix customer care regarding the same... They mentioned my wildvine setting was set to "L3" and HDR10 and FHD resolution are only supported on "L1"...and my device was supposed to be L1 it seems...They said that Netfix is offering HD streaming capability to tab s8 ultra but my device is not using it... nd told me to contact samsung customer care nd ask why my tab was set to L3 ... i can stream FHD on my s21 ultra... please look into it.
Open the Netflix app on your Android phone or tablet.
From the upper right corner, tap your profile icon.
Tap App Settings.
Scroll to Diagnostics and tap Playback Specification.
Next to Widevine, check for L1 or L3.
If it shows L3, you'll need to contact your device manufacturer to find out if your Android supports Widevine L1. Widevine L3 Androids can only play Netflix in SD.
thanks james... i contacted samsung customer care and came to know my device belongs to wildvine L3... is there anyway that i can change to wildvine L1... a friend of mine is using tab s7+ and he is of wildvine L1... cant see it as a fair deal that some may get L3 and some will be L1... is there anyway to fix this???
